Welcome to the Abiding Grace Church Blog. We are a community-oriented congregation located in Pleasant Hills, PA, focused on calling on men and women – made in the image and likeness of God – to delight in the One True God as He has revealed Himself in the Bible. This call is centered on the Gospel – the Good News – of God’s glorious grace as manifest in the perfect life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and glorious ascension of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The Gospel is necessary, because all human beings are born sinful as a result of the Fall of Adam and Eve and are in need of a divine-human Savior who can provide a covering for their sins and a righteousness without which they cannot stand before a holy God.

We believe that the Gospel – coupled with the Holy Spirit’s power – is radically transformative, leading men and women who were once sinners onto the narrow path of a holy life: a life of bearing fruit for God and of obedience to His divine commands.

This Blog is a way for our church elders to share their thoughts with you.  Our future posts will pertain to theology, church doctrine, and the Christian life.
